Arrival - Kharas

ARRIVAL : KHARAS VALLEY

The first thing your character experiences upon waking is the feel of suffocation regardless of whether they need to breathe or not; their chest feels tight, each intake of air is shallow, and there's an outlying pressure that squeezes in on them from all sides. Their vision becomes black, spotted...

And then their life support comes online.

Quickly the feeling of asphyxiation disappears as acrid but breathable "air" fills their lungs, and finally they become aware of their surroundings: they have woken in the rusted and weathered remains of some sort of stasis pod in the middle of what looks like a wide, rocky valley. The ground is a mixture of rock and sand which crunches lightly beneath one's foot. The air tastes bitter and dusty. For miles in any direction all that can be seen is desert, but above? Above is a stunning, bright blue sky with two moons: one massive and close, the other distant and small. Behind them glows a blazing sun.

It's hot, dry. Sweat will start to gather on their brows quickly. A message on their wrist pops up: FIND THE ATLAS.

A quick search of their pod turns up only three days' worth of rations; there's no food or water in sight. Shade is sparse. It's clear that if they don't find shelter from the heat soon your character won't last long. But they aren't alone... More pods lie in wait beyond their own, and characters will quickly discover that a simple touch is all it takes to bring them to life and reanimate their occupants.

But that leaves one question...

Who opened yours?
